I have recently become the proud owner of a Genuine Victorian Sofa, this sofa just needs a clean and i was wondering if this split in the frame could be repaired also and what that process would look like as I do not want to compromise the sofas original condition

Let me know as I am looking to preserve it for many generations to come, thanks a bunch!
